The second round of the Liga Profesional has been spread across five matchdays, with 15 fixtures scheduled between Tuesday 28 July and Thursday 6 August. The programme combines games from zones A and B with one interzonal contest, while three fixtures in the following week are still waiting for their refereeing teams to be appointed.
Action begins on Tuesday 28 with four matches. San Lorenzo host Gimnasia de Mendoza and Banfield face Sarmiento at 19:00, with Fernando Echenique and Andrés Gariano as the respective referees. At 21:15, Felipe Viola will oversee Argentinos against Estudiantes de Río Cuarto, while Hernán Mastrángelo takes charge of Rosario Central versus Racing.
Wednesday 29 brings another four games. Sebastián Zunino will referee Barracas Central-Aldosivi at 14:30; Bruno Amiconi will handle Defensa y Justicia-Deportivo Riestra from 17:00; Leandro Rey Hilfer has Gimnasia-River at 19:15; and Luis Lobo Medina will officiate Instituto-Platense at 21:30. Each match also has confirmed assistants, a fourth official, VAR and AVAR.
The first section of the round closes on Thursday 30. Pablo Dóvalo has been appointed for Independiente Rivadavia-Huracán and Nazareno Arasa for Talleres-Vélez, both at 19:00. At 21:15, Pablo Echavarría will referee Independiente-Newell’s and Andrés Merlos will lead the interzonal meeting between Central Córdoba and Atlético Tucumán.
The final three games will take place in August. Boca host Estudiantes on Wednesday 5 at 19:00, and Tigre meet Belgrano the same day at 21:15. Unión and Lanús complete the round on Thursday 6 at 19:00. Officials for those fixtures have yet to be named, leaving the organisers to complete the appointments for a long, staggered matchday.
