The 2026 Women's Futsal Copa Libertadores has opened its media accreditation process. The tournament will be held in Buenos Aires from November 7 to 14 and will bring together ten teams from across the continent. Starting the procedure in advance structures the work of journalists, photographers and audiovisual crews who will cover a regional competition occupying an increasingly demanding place in the women's calendar.

The application window opened on October 22 at 10am Paraguay time and closes on Wednesday, October 28, at 6pm in the same time zone. That administrative reference matters because it prevents confusion about the deadline. Requests filed after the closing time do not automatically enter the review, so each outlet needs to organise names, roles and documentation before the final day.

The procedure is personal. Every reporter, camera operator or photographer must first have an approved individual profile in CONMEBOL Media Hub. From there, the applicant enters the accreditation area, selects the competition and completes the relevant form. Registering an organisation does not replace the professional identity of each team member, an important distinction that helps prevent incomplete or duplicated submissions.

After the general form, applicants must complete the SAD system's specific requests for working spaces. The press tribune and mixed zone are treated as separate areas, meaning that approval of a credential does not by itself grant unrestricted access throughout the venue. The organisers use those categories to manage capacity, security and circulation around the competition site in a controlled manner.

Creating a profile and submitting a request does not guarantee accreditation. Every case remains subject to available capacity and assessment, and responses will not be issued before October 31 to the email address supplied. Applicants should therefore verify that the account works, that the declared professional role is accurate and that the media outlet's responsible contacts remain current inside the profile.

The quotas provide a practical planning guide. Radio and online radio outlets may register up to three journalists; print organisations up to two; web or social media outlets one; and each outlet may request up to two photographers. Non-rights-holding audiovisual organisations receive space for one journalist and one camera operator, while international agencies may seek two reporters and two photographers, always subject to final approval.

The competition will use Ferro Carril Oeste's Multideportivo as its venue and place Buenos Aires at the centre of continental women's futsal for eight days. For media teams, the next step is not to wait for the opening match but to complete every administrative stage on time and retain the confirmation. For the tournament, accreditation marks the operational beginning of an edition combining Argentine representation, regional movement and potentially broader coverage.
