Argentina’s Professional League has updated the 2026 Clausura calendar to make domestic competition compatible with the national team’s friendlies. Four matches in round 11 changed day or time, while the whole of round 12 received confirmed slots. The programme now stretches from Friday, October 2 to Wednesday the 14th because Sarmiento against River has been separated from the remainder of the eleventh matchday.

The alterations respond particularly to Argentina’s meeting with Burkina Faso on Saturday the 3rd. Boca–Unión, originally scheduled for Sunday at 19:15, moved to Friday the 2nd at 21:30. Argentinos–Tigre shifted from Saturday to Sunday the 4th at 19:15; Huracán–Aldosivi moved to the same Sunday at 14:45; and Sarmiento–River left its Sunday position for Wednesday the 14th at 19:00.

Round 11 starts Friday with Independiente–Instituto at 19:15, followed by Boca–Unión and Independiente Rivadavia–Gimnasia at 21:30. Saturday includes Defensa y Justicia–San Lorenzo at 14:45, Atlético Tucumán–Barracas Central at 17:00 and Newell’s–Lanús at the same time. The need to coexist with national-team activity explains a schedule that is more fragmented than a standard domestic weekend.

Sunday brings Huracán–Aldosivi at 14:45, Talleres–Belgrano at 17:00, Argentinos–Tigre at 19:15 and Estudiantes de Río Cuarto–Racing at 21:30. Monday completes the main block with Deportivo Riestra–Central Córdoba at 16:45, Estudiantes de La Plata–Gimnasia de Mendoza and Vélez–Platense at 19:00, and Banfield–Rosario Central at 21:15. Sarmiento–River remains pending until October 14.

Round 12 opens Friday the 9th with four matches: Aldosivi–Sarmiento at 14:30, Gimnasia–Atlético Tucumán at 18:00, Instituto–Boca at 19:30 and Unión–Defensa y Justicia at 21:45. Saturday features Barracas Central–Huracán at 14:45, Central Córdoba–Estudiantes at 17:00, Tigre–Banfield at 19:15 and River–Estudiantes de Río Cuarto at 21:30.

Sunday the 11th contains five fixtures: San Lorenzo–Deportivo Riestra at 14:45; Platense–Argentinos and Rosario Central–Independiente Rivadavia at 17:00; Racing–Belgrano at 19:15; and Talleres–Independiente at 21:30. Monday closes the round with Lanús–Vélez at 16:00 and Gimnasia de Mendoza–Newell’s at 18:30. All listed times are local to Argentina.

Confirmation allows clubs to organise travel, recovery and workloads, although postponing Sarmiento–River will temporarily leave the standings uneven. It also requires supporters to review a timetable that had already circulated. The sporting and editorial priority is the updated version: Boca now play Friday, three other matches moved to Sunday or a later week, and all sixteen round-12 fixtures have definite positions.
