Huracán Las Heras defeated Juventud Antoniana 1-0 on Sunday, 16 August in round four of the Torneo Federal A championship stage. The Mendoza side used home advantage to collect all three points.
The first half ended 0-0. Neither team managed to open the scoring during the opening 45 minutes, leaving the decisive moment for the start of the second period.
L. Algozino scored in the 47th minute, only two minutes after the restart. That goal created the only difference in the match and put Huracán Las Heras in front.
Juventud Antoniana could not produce an equaliser. The Salta representatives chased a response for the rest of the second half, but the 1-0 score remained unchanged until the finish.
The match brought together two interior clubs at a decisive stage of the Federal A. Mendoza hosted a contest decided by the narrowest margin between the Globo of Las Heras and the Santo from Salta.
The victory gave Huracán Las Heras a boost in the fourth round of this phase. Juventud Antoniana's next fixture will provide an opportunity to recover the points lost on their visit to Mendoza.
