Germinal de Rawson will begin the Federal A Reválida at home to Juventud Unida Universitario of San Luis. The Zone B opening-round match will be played on Sunday 2 August at 15:00 and launches a decisive phase for survival and for remaining in contention for the second promotion place.
Guillermo Brown, the other Chubut representative in the group, will start away to Deportivo Rincón in Neuquén. Both provincial sides entered the Reválida after finishing outside the places that led to the Championship Phase.
Zone B will be played as a single round-robin over nine matchdays. Germinal will have five home fixtures, while Brown will have four, a distribution determined by their positions during the opening phase.
The competition will use two simultaneous calculations. Points from the opening stage carry over for relegation and the bottom two teams will go down. In the race for the second promotion playoffs, however, all sides start from zero and the leading five advance.
That double system gives every result two different effects on the season. Germinal have the first chance to add points before their supporters at El Fortín; Brown begin away from Puerto Madryn on a route that will also demand consistency across all nine rounds.
