Las Mandarinas beat Everton de La Plata 1-0 away from home and took three important points from the Buenos Aires provincial capital. The round 14 Promocional Amateur match was played on Tuesday, 11 August and ended with the Brandsen side celebrating.

The first half finished 0-0. Neither team managed to break the deadlock before the interval, leaving the outcome for the second half, when Las Mandarinas found the afternoon's only goal.

The match record does not identify the scorer or the minute of the goal. What is confirmed is that the visitors broke the tie after the restart, protected their narrow lead until the final whistle and kept Everton off the scoresheet.

The victory also altered the balance of this season's meetings. Everton had won 2-1 in Brandsen on 17 June; this time Las Mandarinas answered in La Plata and split the two head-to-head wins.

The three points took Las Mandarinas to 14 from 12 matches, with four wins, two draws and six defeats. The team moved into sixth place in Group B, level with Belgrano de Zárate and above FC Ezeiza.

Everton remained on nine points after 13 appearances and sit ninth in the group. For Las Mandarinas, the 1-0 victory meant a return to winning ways after the draw with Barrancas UMET and fresh momentum in the middle stage of the competition.
