The third round of the 2026 Torneo Regional Federal Amateur once again displayed the remarkable scale of football across Argentina's interior. Qualifying activity ran from Wednesday 9 to Tuesday 15 September, with matches divided among eight regions and dozens of zones. Most of the schedule now has final results, although the official list still contains several pending or rearranged fixtures, preventing the round from being described as completely finished.
The tournament brings together 245 teams and schedules approximately 104 matches in each round, a scale that requires every score to be understood as part of a national map rather than an isolated list. Four clubs will eventually earn promotion to the 2027 Federal A. The competition also awards twelve places in the next Torneo Argentino del Interior, meaning each point can influence more than one pathway toward sporting continuity.
The largest confirmed score came in the northern region, where Deportivo Luján of San Salvador de Jujuy defeated Juventus of Humahuaca 9-0. Oscar Caram scored three goals and Alejandro Bárcena contributed two in a broad attacking effort. Gimnasia y Tiro de Yavi, Talleres de Perico and Atlético San Pedro also won, while fixtures in Salta and Tucumán produced narrow games and several away successes.
The Litoral Norte and central sections maintained that competitive variety. Estrellas from San Francisco de Laishi beat Estudiantes de Pirané 5-2, while Central Norte Argentino defeated Resistencia Central 3-0 in Chaco. In Santiago del Estero, 25 de Mayo overcame Talleres de Nueva Esperanza 3-2; throughout Catamarca and La Rioja, several contests were decided by a single goal, illustrating the fine margins inside many groups.
Cuyo and the Pampeana region supplied further significant results. Sport Club Pacífico won 2-0 at Goudge, Atlético Unión of Villa Krause beat General Belgrano by the same score, and Santa Rita of Piedritas defeated Fútbol Club of Trenque Lauquen 4-1. Sarmiento de Pigüé and Ferro Carril Sud of Olavarría produced a 3-3 draw shaped by hat-tricks from Maximiliano Graff and Ramón Sánchez.
In the south, Jorge Newbery claimed the Comodoro Rivadavia meeting by beating CAI 2-1. Deportivo Roca overcame Unión Alem Progresista 2-1, and Deportivo Alianza of Cutral Co earned a 3-0 victory against Independiente de Neuquén. Draws in Bariloche, San Antonio Oeste and the Alto Valle confirmed the round had no single pattern: emphatic wins, narrow decisions and shared points existed together.
The third round will only acquire its final shape when the remaining fixtures receive confirmed scores. Until then, it should be treated as an advanced but incomplete matchday. Clubs must now connect these results with the standings in each zone and prepare for round four, in a tournament where geography multiplies travel and local contexts, while the common purpose remains reaching Argentina's national categories in 2027.
