Refereeing teams have been confirmed for round four of the Liga Profesional’s Torneo Clausura, a 15-match schedule running from Friday 7 to Tuesday 11 August. The list also covers the upcoming rounds in four lower divisions, organising an operation that links the top flight with a large part of the AFA competitive structure.
Pablo Echavarría will open the round at Rosario Central-Aldosivi, while Gonzalo Pereira takes charge of Independiente Rivadavia-Estudiantes de Río Cuarto. On Saturday, Yael Falcón Pérez will referee Boca-Vélez at the Tomás A. Ducó stadium, Andrés Gariano will oversee Tigre-River and Nicolás Ramírez has been assigned to Independiente-Platense.
Sunday’s main fixture is the San Lorenzo-Huracán derby, with Darío Herrera as referee, Lucas Novelli on VAR and Javier Uziga as AVAR. Defensa y Justicia-Newell’s, Gimnasia-Barracas Central and Argentinos-Racing are also scheduled that day. Banfield-Belgrano and Unión-Central Córdoba follow on Monday, before Luis Lobo Medina oversees Tuesday’s closing match between Talleres and Lanús.
Appointments were also issued for all 18 fixtures in Primera Nacional round 24. Felipe Viola will referee Midland-Deportivo Maipú, Pablo Giménez has Gimnasia de Jujuy-Tristán Suárez and Brian Ferreyra will take the meeting between San Martín de Tucumán and San Martín de San Juan. A referee, two assistants and a fourth official were listed for every match in the division.
The schedule continues with Primera B Metropolitana round 29 and Primera C round 23. It also includes Promocional Amateur fixtures from Group A round 10 and matches in Group B rounds 13 and 14. The scale of the list illustrates how many refereeing teams must be coordinated simultaneously during the same part of the calendar.
In the Liga Profesional, every appointment adds a fourth official, VAR and AVAR to the main three-person team; in the lower divisions, the published structure runs through the fourth official. With those roles identified, clubs and coaching staffs have another formal piece of the schedule before a sequence of matches spread across numerous stadiums and provinces.
