Instituto beat Platense 2-1 in Córdoba on matchday two of the Clausura. La Gloria built a two-goal lead, survived the visitors’ late reply and collected their first victory of the competition.
Giuliano Cerato opened the scoring after 14 minutes. The Córdoba side converted their stronger start into an advantage and reached half-time one goal ahead of a Platense team that still had room to respond.
Matías Tissera doubled the lead in the 55th minute. The second goal gave Instituto greater protection through a decisive phase, while Platense adjusted their attack in search of a response that could restore tension to the contest.
El Calamar finally replied in stoppage time. Héctor Bobadilla scored at 90+4 to make it 2-1, but there was not enough time to complete a comeback. Instituto had to defend until the final action a victory that had appeared to be under control.
The result gave La Gloria their first three points earned in the Clausura and underlined the value of exploiting favourable spells in a zonal tournament. Platense left Córdoba empty-handed despite their late reaction and must now recover ground over the coming rounds.
