Huracán defeated SATSAID 1-0 at the Roberto Ricardo Larrosa stadium and earned a narrow victory in round three of the women's Torneo Clausura. The match was played on Tuesday, 11 August in the City of Buenos Aires.
The first half ended without goals. Huracán and SATSAID reached the interval level and maintained the deadlock through most of the second half in a contest that appeared headed for a share of the points.
The breakthrough came 44 minutes into the second half. Milagros Rodríguez won the aerial contest and headed in the 1-0, a late action that changed the outcome with very little time left for a visiting response.
The goal was the only decisive event on the scoreboard. Huracán protected the advantage through the closing passage and completed a one-goal victory, while SATSAID ran out of time to restore parity.
The three points carried particular value because of how they were secured. El Globo kept the match alive until the final stretch and found the answer from an aerial ball after almost 90 minutes without breaking the deadlock.
The 1-0 result completed both teams' participation in the third round and gave Huracán momentum for the rest of the Clausura. SATSAID, meanwhile, must take the search for the result that escaped late into their next fixture.
