Brown de Adrogué defeated Excursionistas 1-0 at the Lorenzo Arandilla stadium and earned a significant win in round 29 of the Primera B. Brian Guerrero scored the only goal and sustained the recovery of Jorge Vivaldo's team.
The first half ended goalless and produced opportunities at both ends. Excursionistas threatened through efforts from Alan Espeche and Matías Pólvera, while Brown had to replace injured forward Bruno Báez with Nicolás Meaurio after 25 minutes.
The difference came six minutes into the second half. Meaurio brought down a long ball and Guerrero received it inside the penalty area before finishing across Nicolás Rodríguez. The move rewarded the home side's more aggressive restart.
Once ahead, Brown managed the match more effectively and created chances to extend the lead. Meaurio struck the post, but the absence of a second goal did not change the outcome: Matías Wysocki and the defence preserved the clean sheet.
The three points took the Tricolor to 31 and seventeenth place. Brown have collected seven points from the last nine available and gained room near the bottom, while Excursionistas remained on 53 and dropped to second.
The next round presents two different tests. Brown visit Villa Dálmine with an opportunity to consolidate their response, while Excursionistas host Laferrere needing to answer in a title race that has opened up again.
