The Federal A tournament now has its fixture for the second Championship Phase and the first stage of the Revalida. Both routes begin on Sunday 2 August and run for nine rounds through 20 September, including a midweek matchday on 12 August and a schedule stretching across much of Argentina’s interior football map.
The Championship Phase is divided into two groups of nine. Group A contains Defensores de Belgrano de Villa Ramallo, Mitre, San Martín de Formosa, Sol de América, 9 de Julio de Rafaela, Douglas Haig, Gimnasia de Chivilcoy, Sportivo Belgrano and Sarmiento de La Banda. Each round has four matches and one team sitting out.
Group B brings together Olimpo, Juventud Antoniana, Cipolletti, Huracán Las Heras, Atenas, Villa Mitre, Kimberley, Argentino de Monte Maíz and Alvarado. The opening round features Olimpo against Juventud Antoniana, Cipolletti against Huracán Las Heras, Atenas against Villa Mitre and Kimberley against Argentino de Monte Maíz, with Alvarado idle.
The Revalida is also divided into two groups. Group A includes Independiente de Chivilcoy, Atlético Escobar, Boca Unidos, Defensores de Puerto Vilelas, Sarmiento de Resistencia, El Linqueño, Sportivo Las Parejas, Gimnasia de Concepción del Uruguay and Tucumán Central. Independiente sit out the first round while the other eight teams begin in four fixtures.
Revalida Group B contains ten clubs and has no byes. Deportivo Rincón host Guillermo Brown; FADEP face Círculo Deportivo; Germinal play Juventud Unida Universitario; San Martín de Mendoza meet Costa Brava; and Sol de Mayo are at home to Santamarina in the first round.
The sequence continues on 8, 12, 16, 23 and 30 August, then 6, 13 and 20 September. Publication of the calendar shifts the focus from initial qualification to a stage in which every point directly affects championship and survival objectives. For the interior clubs, it also begins a period of long travel, short recovery windows and weekly planning with no room to confuse the tournament’s two paths.
