The 2026 Clausura now has a clear route through most of August. The Liga Profesional confirmed the schedule for rounds four through seven: 60 matches between Friday 7 and Monday 31, a sequence that structures four weeks of competition for the 30 top-flight clubs.
Round four opens with Rosario Central-Aldosivi and Independiente Rivadavia-Estudiantes de Río Cuarto. Saturday’s programme includes Tigre-River, Boca-Vélez and Independiente-Platense, among other fixtures. The San Lorenzo-Huracán interzonal derby is set for Sunday 9 at 15:00, while Talleres-Lanús closes the round on Tuesday 11 at 21:00.
Matchday five runs from Friday 14 to Monday 17. Its strongest territorial fixture is the La Plata derby between Estudiantes and Gimnasia, scheduled for Saturday 15 at 16:45. Platense-Boca follows that evening, while River-Argentinos and Barracas Central-Rosario Central stand among Sunday’s main games.
Round six is entirely interzonal and contains another of the month’s most anticipated matches. Racing host Boca on Sunday 23 at 21:30, after River-Vélez. The programme also features Independiente-Independiente Rivadavia, Gimnasia-Gimnasia de Mendoza and, on Monday 24, Talleres-Rosario Central.
The seventh round begins on Friday 28 with Huracán-Estudiantes de Río Cuarto and Unión-Sarmiento. Boca-Lanús and Talleres-Central Córdoba lead Saturday’s card; Independiente-Gimnasia de Mendoza and Independiente Rivadavia-Racing follow on Sunday. Four matches across two time slots bring the round to a close on Monday 31.
Early confirmation does not determine results, but it changes sporting and logistical preparation. Coaching staffs can organise workloads and recovery, clubs know exactly when they must travel, and supporters have a complete map for a stretch that connects derbies, interzonal encounters and matches of growing importance in both groups.
