Deportivo Rincón of Rincón de los Sauces beat Costa Brava of General Pico 1-0 on Federal A matchday 18. The game was played at Nuevo Pacaembú on Saturday 25 July from 15:30 and ended with an away win in a meeting between clubs from Neuquén and La Pampa.
The result ended a run of four defeats for Deportivo Rincón. After beating Juventud Unida 2-1, the Neuquén side had lost 2-1 to Cipolletti and 1-0 against Atenas de Río Cuarto, San Martín de Mendoza and Huracán Las Heras. Victory in General Pico halted that slide.
Costa Brava had arrived with two wins, two draws and one loss in their previous five outings. They beat San Martín de Mendoza 2-1 and Cipolletti 1-0, drew 1-1 with Atenas and 0-0 with Juventud Unida de San Luis, and lost 2-0 away to Huracán Las Heras. The 1-0 setback was their second defeat in succession.
The victory also extended Deportivo Rincón’s recent dominance of the fixture. The Neuquén team had won 1-0 at Estadio Elías Moisés Gómez on 17 May 2026 and 2-1 at the same ground on 14 September 2025. The result in General Pico gave them a third consecutive win over Costa Brava.
Diego Saúl Novelli refereed the match, with Malvina Luján Schiel and Lautaro Manuel Paletta as assistants and Fernando Zabalza as fourth official. Deportivo Rincón turned a demanding away game into a recovery win, while Costa Brava could not sustain at home the positive balance with which they resumed competition.
