Central Córdoba de Rosario beat Luján 2-1 away to claim a valuable win in round 23 of Primera C. The Charrúa scored both goals in the first half and then resisted the Group B leaders' response during a tense second period.
The breakthrough came with the Rosario side's first clear attack. Benjamín Gallucci won the aerial duel and headed beyond Lucas Torlaschi, an opening that forced Luján to change their match plan immediately.
The hosts pushed for an equaliser, but Nahuel Icazatti was sent off for striking an opponent and left them with ten men. Central Córdoba used the numerical advantage and a rehearsed set piece as Mateo Yaszzuk attacked the near post and headed in the second before half-time.
Luján returned determined to compete and found a reply through Facundo Rojas. The midfielder struck from distance into the top corner beyond Matías Giraldi, bringing uncertainty back to a match that had appeared under control.
A second home dismissal, this time for Diego Molina, reduced Luján to nine players. Even so, Tomás Dopazo and Julián Ford had chances to level, while Torlaschi kept the team alive when Central Córdoba found space on the counterattack.
The result did not change the top of the table because Cañuelas also lost: Luján remain first on 42 points with a three-point cushion. Central Córdoba moved to 29, drew level with Atlas and gained important momentum in the Group B race.
