The Ernesto “Finito” Gehrmann Municipal Sports Centre was selected to stage the decisive phase of the 2026 futsal Apertura organised by the Liga Posadeña de Fútbol. The semi-final programme brought the men’s Gold Cup ties and one Silver Cup fixture together on the same night, with every contest decided in a single match.
Jorge Gibson Brown and Club Paraná were paired in the first semi-final for the main men’s trophy. The second place in the final was to be settled between Argentinos Juniors and defending champions Infiltrados FC. With no return leg, each match condensed the chance to reach the decider into forty minutes.
The men’s final was scheduled for the following weekend at a venue that remained unconfirmed when the programme was released. That leaves one organisational detail open, but the format is clear: the winners of the two semi-finals meet directly for the Gold Cup.
The evening also included San Patricio against Guaraní Antonio Franco in a Silver Cup semi-final. Bringing two competitive brackets to the same venue expanded the futsal programme beyond the chase for the main title and gave visibility to teams continuing their campaign in the second cup.
The women’s competition already has confirmed finalists. Defending champions Guaraní Antonio Franco beat El Brete 3-0 through two goals from Agustina Yegros and one from Belén Ruíz Díaz. Jorge Gibson Brown advanced with a 6-0 win over Guacurarí, led by an Agustina Silvero double and goals from Lourdes Arzamendia, Carolina Boné Dornelles, Oriana Paiva and Daiana Seija.
Brown and Infiltrados won their respective semi-finals and will play the men’s Apertura final, bringing El Verdirrojo together with the defending champions. Alongside the women’s Guaraní-Brown match, the deciders confirm the depth of Posadas futsal: established clubs, competitive projects and both branches converge in one finals programme.
