Ferrocarril Midland beat Deportivo Maipú 2-0 at the Raúl Sabureau stadium and confirmed their rise in the Primera Nacional. Ezequiel Bulacio scored both goals in the round-24 match, leaving the Libertad side third in Group B.

The forward opened the scoring six minutes into the first half. A corner delivered to the near post found Bulacio in the six-yard box, where he headed Midland into an early lead.

The second goal came 30 minutes into the second half. Bulacio finished again, this time with a shot that beat goalkeeper Nahuel Galardi, and completed a victory built on effectiveness in both penalty areas.

The result took the Funebrero to 37 points, four behind the group leaders. The team also reached six matches unbeaten and strengthened a particularly significant campaign in their first season in the second tier of Argentine football.

Deportivo Maipú remained seventh on 32 points. Although the defeat halted their progress, the Mendoza side stayed inside the qualification places for the Reducido, the route that awards the second promotion place to the top division.

The round continues through the weekend and brings a direct reference point at the top on Monday, when Gimnasia de Jujuy host Tristán Suárez. Midland have already completed their task: they added points, extended their run and forced the teams above them to respond.
