Northeastern Argentina’s 3x3 basketball scene had Posadas as its meeting point. Jorge Yamaguchi Stadium was selected to host the NEA regional tournament, with Tokio, CAPRI and Mitre representing Misiones.
The competition used a group-stage format. Teams were scheduled to play three rounds to determine the qualifiers for the decisive phase, in a compact structure demanding intensity and consistency.
The field brought together clubs from Misiones, Chaco and Corrientes. Announced participants included Cultural from Santa Sylvina, Hércules from Charata, Córdoba from Corrientes, Hindú and Regatas from Resistencia, alongside the Misiones teams.
Tokio arrived with a positive record after leading Group A of the previous stage with 33 points. That performance placed the club among the contenders to advance and added the boost of playing at home.
The regional event coincided with Argentina’s men’s and women’s 3x3 teams preparing for the Nations League in Asunción. The tournament reinforced a federal idea of sport: locally rooted clubs, regional competition and a venue capable of bringing NEA talent together.
