Presidencia Roca is preparing to host this Saturday, July 18, the second regional event of Chaco Juega 2026, the sports program promoted by the Government of Chaco through the Chaqueño Sports Institute. The day, which will begin at 8:30 AM, will bring together more than 900 young athletes from 14 towns in the Güemes department and surrounding areas, who will compete with the goal of earning a place in the provincial grand final of the Games.[reference:8]
The participating delegations will arrive from Capitán Solari, Ciervo Petiso, Colonia Elisa, Colonias Unidas, General San Martín, Juan José Castelli, La Eduvigis, Laguna Limpia, Las Garcitas, Pampa Almirón, Pampa del Indio, Presidencia Roca, Selva Río de Oro and Villa Río Bermejito.[reference:9] The diversity of origins reflects the federal reach of this initiative, which seeks to integrate young people from across the province through sport.
The competitions will take place at various sports venues in the town: Club Social y Deportivo Municipal, Camping Municipal, the Paddle Tennis Court Complex, the Municipal Court, E.E.N.S. Nº 80 "Luis María Drago", the San Juan neighborhood sports court and the Fútbol 5 Complex.[reference:10] During the day, there will be matches in U-12 football; U-14 and U-16 futsal; U-14 and U-16 basketball; U-16 indoor handball; U-13 beach handball; U-14 and U-16 hockey; U-14 volleyball; U-14 and U-16 beach volleyball; U-14 mixed paddle tennis; and U-14 and U-16 mixed chess.[reference:11]
The schedule includes the arrival of delegations at the club at 8:00 AM, followed by accreditation and breakfast at 8:15 AM, and the opening ceremony at 8:30 AM. Competitions will begin at 9:00 AM.[reference:12] Award ceremonies will take place after each competition at its respective venue.[reference:13]
Chaco Juega 2026 will continue with new dates: August 15 in Santa Sylvina, August 16 in Charata, August 29 in Misión Nueva Pompeya, September 5 with the Provincial Adult event, September 12 in Sáenz Peña, September 26 in Resistencia and October 10 with the Provincial Grand Final.[reference:14] With each regional event, the program promotes sport, integration and the values of teamwork, giving children and adolescents from across the province the opportunity to participate in one of the most important sports competitions on the Chaco calendar.[reference:15]
