The Copa País for league selections will begin on 12 August as a new competition organised by the Federal Council. Twenty-six representative teams will participate, with the objective of qualifying one selection from each sporting region for the final stage.

The tournament is divided into two phases. Qualification may be played through points-based groups or knockout series, while the final bracket will be designed after the regional process is completed.

Squads may include up to 35 players. Each selection can register no more than six footballers from the same club and must include at least ten players born in 2009, making the competition a concrete opportunity for young talent.

Matches must be staged in venues authorised by the Federal Council, and visiting or neutral supporters will not be admitted. In knockout ties, equality on points and goal difference will be settled by penalties.

Copa País aims to connect leagues, towns and regions within one competitive map. Its launch expands representation for football outside the major centres and gives locally developed players a stage built around territorial identity.
