Nueva Chicago ended a demanding afternoon with a 1-1 draw against Agropecuario after having to work to rediscover their usual performance. Facundo Castro admitted that the team struggled to carry out its game during several phases in Mataderos.

The first half finished goalless. Agropecuario opened the scoring twelve minutes after the break through Alan Pérez, forcing Chicago to push higher and seek a response with greater urgency.

The equaliser arrived in the 29th minute of the second half. Simón Pérez made it 1-1 and prevented a home defeat in a balanced match with few clear opportunities for either side.

Castro focused on the need to maintain the team’s football identity even when the opponent creates difficulties. The draw showed character in the recovery, but also highlighted areas to improve in circulation and continuity.

Chicago must carry those lessons into the next match against Atlético de Rafaela. Primera Nacional offers little time between challenges, and every round requires turning analysis into solutions to sustain a competitive campaign.
